VIT Vellore PhD Admission 2021: Eligibility, Application Process, Entrance, Fee, Dates
VIT University, Vellore offers PhD programme at the doctoral level. The programme is offered under Internal (Full-Time), Internal (Part-Time) and External (Part-Time) modes. Usually, candidates must appear for VITREE 2021, conducted by the VIT Vellore to secure admission to the PhD programme. But, this year VIT Vellore will not conduct the VITREE 2021 exam. The University offers PhD in streams such as Science, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences and Management.
- Students looking for admission to PhD course must appear for a written test, followed by a personal interview (PI) round
- Candidates, who have already qualified in CSIR NET or UGC NET or any other national-level entrance test, will get a direct call for the PI from the respective department of the university
VIT Vellore PhD Admission Process 2021
VIT Vellore offers PhD to aspirants at Internal and External mediums. Aspirants are required to submit their profile to get shortlisted for the entrance exam VITREE 2021 after the application process of PhD. Students can also choose to pursue PhD between full-time and part-time modes of study.
Selection criteria: Final selection of the students is done on the basis of the overall merit of the candidate in the previous qualifying examination at master’s level and performance in the written test, followed by research output and performance in a personal interview.
