Psychology Courses Offered after Class 12
There are two main Psychology programmes which are offered after Class 12. A Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BSc). While BA has a humanitarian and applied approach in fields such as counselling, therapy and more, BSc deals with the scientific aspect of Psychology such as medicine, clinics, hospitals and more. If you are opting for a BA in Psychology, students can be from a Humanities or Science background. For BSc, a student has to be from a Science background. Here are the programmes offered in Psychology after Class 12.
Various Universities all over India offer programmes in Psychology, however, one also needs to meet the eligibility criteria which is set by Universities. The eligibility criteria may vary for each University, however, there is a basic eligibility criterion which is set. Students who are found ineligible for the programme, will not be allowed to proceed further in the admission process.

Psychology Admission Process
After completing Class 12, students need to follow a protocol or a procedure in order to get admission to Psychology courses which are offered by various Universities. The admission procedure is as follows:
Select University: The first move one has to make is to search for Universities which are offering Psychology courses at Undergraduate (UG) level. Check the details of the course, the eligibility criteria, the fees, the seats available and what the requirements are.
Fill & Submit Application Form: The next step is to apply online for the course you are interested in. Select the programme and course, be it BA or BSc in Psychology. Enter the details accurately as required and submit the application form along with the application fee.
Selection Criteria: For undergraduate level, Universities either offer admission on the basis of merit through marks secured in the qualifying examination or students are required to appear for an entrance exam. Students who clear the round and make the merit list, are offered admission at the varsity.
Counselling: Students who are selected, are supposed to either complete the counselling online (if available) or will have to visit the University at the given date and time to complete the admission formalities by submitting the required documents and paying the fees. Once all the formalities are completed, the candidate has successfully applied for admission to the course.
