Applications are invited for admission to full-time 6 months long Post Graduate Diploma courses (listed below) at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), commencing February 2014.

  • PG Diploma in Geoinformatics
  • PG Diploma in Healthcare Informatics
  • PG Diploma in Advanced Computing
  • PG Diploma in Wireless & Mobile Computing
  • PG Diploma in System Software Development
  • PG Diploma in IT Infrastructure, Systems & Security
  • PG Diploma in Embedded Systems Design
  • PG Diploma in VLSI Design
  • PG Diploma in Integrated VLSI & Emb-edded Systems Design
  • PG Diploma in Automation & SCADA Systems

Minimum eligibility criteria for the above mentioned courses:

  • An aspirant should be a graduate in Engineering or equivalent (e.g. BE/ BTech/ 4-year BSc Engg/ AMIE/ AIETE/AMIETE/ DoEACC B Level, etc.) in Electronics/ Electrical/ Computer Science/ IT or related areas OR Post Graduate in Engineering Sciences (e.g. MCA/ MSc Engg/ MSc (CS, IT, EE, Electronics, Instrumentation, etc.))
  • Aspirants who have already appeared or will be appearing for the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2013 can also apply. By qualifying in C-DAC's admission tests scheduled to be conducted in December 2013, these students can apply for provisional admission subject to the condition that:

(a) All parts of their qualifying degree examination shall be completed by the date of joining the course, and

(b) Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with at least the required minimum marks shall be submitted at C-DAC by April 30, 2014.

How to Apply?

Admissions will be done through C-DAC's Computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT). Students need to apply online at www.cdac.in.

C-CAT Schedule:

The C-CAT for admission to the February 2014 batch of PG Diploma courses is scheduled to be conducted on December 8 and 15, 2013.

Test centres:

Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Dhanbad, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Karad, Kochi, Kolhapur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mohali, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Secundarabad, Solapur, Thiruvananthapuram and Vishakhapatnam.

C-CAT Application Fee:

The basic application fee is Rs 1000. For every course opted in the online application, Rs 100 will be added. Thus, the application fee for one course will be Rs 1100, for two courses Rs 1200, etc.

Application process:

Fill the online application form and pay the application fee online OR in cash through the 'Make Payment' step on the main menu of the online application. No cheque or demand draft (DD) will be accepted towards payment of C-CAT application fees.

  • Online: Both credit and debit cards can be used for payment of application fee through the payment gateway provided along with the online application. Follow the instructions/steps given therein, and also print/keep the transaction details for records.
  • Cash: Application fee can also be paid in cash at any of the C-DAC centers or C-DAC's Affiliated Training Centers (ATC). After filling the online application, print the form and submit it personally along with the fee (in cash) at any of the C-DAC training centers on or before the last date of application.
