India Signed DTAA With Estonia for ICT Education

On September 19, 2011, Communications and Information Technology Minister Kapil Sibal, has signed a double taxation avoidance agreement (DTAA) with Estonia to enhance the Information, communications, and Technology (ICT) education in India. He has signed the DTAA with Estonian Minister of Finance Jurgen Ligi.

While signing the agreement, India and Estonia, has agreed to work together in the fields of information, communication and technology, education and e-governance. Furthermore, India will also establish a Chair on Cyber Security in Tallinn University and a Chair on Indian languages, literature and history in another of Estonia's universities.

20 scholarships will be provided to Indian students, mentioned by Estonian government. It is being provided to students who will enroll with the Estonian universities for accredited doctoral programme leading to a PhD degree in information and communication technology, material technology, environment technology, biotechnology, power engineering or health.
