Computer engineering has become the buzzword among Class XII science students in India owing to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) revolution that is sweeping through the country. Parents are keen on investing in a ‘computer engineering’ seat for their child at a reputed technical institute. So it is not surprising that as per AICTE data, in 2004-05, 31% of the engineering graduates in India were computer engineers.
