KPMG to proffer training in tax laws at 30 NIIT centers

KPMG, a Global-cum-audit firm will now be proffering training in taxation laws and regulations at 30 NIIT centres in 21 cities throughout the country. A step towards meeting the ever growing demands of professionals in finance, accounting and taxation, the training for the same would commence from the first week of February, 2011.

This four-to-eight week programmes will feature direct tax, indirect tax and regulatory aspects. This would also include DTC and GST legislations. The professionals after successfully completing these programmes would be awarded certificate or diploma in tax regulations.

What's more interesting is that the senior cohorts from KPMG would employ NIIT's learning technology as one of the methods of linking theory and practice together.Moreover, this would deal with the proposed direct tax code (DTC) and the goods and services tax (GST) laws in particular.

These tax oriented programmes would mainly lay emphasis on the technical competence and practical applications of the current tax and regulatory framework, research and planning. Besides this, through this program the entrants would also get acquainted to all the fields of taxation, including transfer pricing, domestic and international tax and various indirect taxes such as service tax.

KPMG Tax Head, Uday Ved was quoted saying" The training programmes in tax laws and regulations will be offered at 30 NIIT centres in 21 cities across the country from February first week to corporates and aspiring professionals looking for a bright career in finance, accounting and taxation".
