NIT Warangal student bagged Rs. 45 lac per annum salary from Facebook

How about beginning your career with the starting salary of Rs 45 lacs per annum...?? Does it seems like a joke or a dream...well now it can happen as a student of NIT Warangal bagged Rs. 45 lac per annum salary from Facebook. One of the most eminent institutes in the country, NIT Warangal has signed a final year computer student for the far-fetched offer.

The institute has confirmed that the student will join the technical arm of the social networking giant as soon as he completes his graduation in March 2012. This offer has surpassed the previous offers as the last highest salary offered to a student was 20 lakhs per annum. It is something uncommon in the West to find freshers offered such a hefty amount, while in India it is pretty rare.

Recruitment process has already begun in the NIT Warangal campus on 15th August, 2011. Leading participatory companies like Wipro, Microsoft, Google, Oracle and Amazon have already hired many students from the Institute for packages between 5 lakh and 12 lakh per annum. But the offer from facebook has set a benchmark for the 50 year old institute.

Many IT companies are ready to pay hefty amounts to students who perform well in the first or second interview. The officials at the institute also said the recruitment process of the NIT will continue till March next year. However, companies come later could offer bigger packages to students and we need to watch out the salary trend this year.
