The Red hat certifications are a gold standard certification. It is designed for Red Hat and general Linux related skills such as system administration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Mentioned below are the red hat certifications:

  • Red Hat® Certified Engineer (RHCE): It is a performance-based test that measures actual competency on live systems. RHCE proves an individual's ability to configure networking services and security on servers running a Red Hat OS. It is one of the hottest certification in IT industry. It is a flagship certification and mid to advanced level.
  • Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS): It is a security certification that proves advanced skills in using Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SELinux, and Red Hat Directory Server to meet the security requirements of today's enterprise environment.
  • Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCDS): An RHCDS is a person who has necessary skills and knowledge to build reliable, available, scalable, and manageable solutions in mission-critical datacenter environments using fully-supported open source technologies from Red Hat.
  • Red Hat Certified Administrator (RHCA): It is the master level certification program and provides hands-on training for Senior Linux System Administrators enabling them to design and deploy large and complex Linux based environments. It is the senior system administration credential and is designed for technical leaders working in demanding enterprise environments.
  • Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT): It is a performance based test and it measures actual competence on live systems. RHCT is the first step in establishing Linux credentials and is an ideal certification for those transitioning from non-UNIX/Linux environments.

 

Eligibility:

To be eligible for such certifications, 10+2 is the minimum requirement and basic knowledge of computer and hardware is a must.

Career Prospects:

After completing such certifications, one can earn up to Rs 10, 000 to Rs 20, 000 depending upon the qualifications and work experience.
