Is Hacking Really A Hot Career?
Hacking is a great concern for every software company. In cyber world, companies hire ethical hacker to safeguard their products from outside hacking threat. This industry offers huge job opportunities for trained and professional hackers. In today’s world, you can find every single detail and information easily on several sites. Every small or big industry owns a site. You can find sites of all government departments and agencies and can get their information handy. Other than that,, you can find a number of networking sites, and you can get all information available online. When everyone has access to all the information, there is always a threat for security. Due to the increasing craze to build own community no one is safe, even the celebrities and politicians are not untouched by this situation. Therefore, we need to develop a safe and secured process where hacker can not misuse the information. In this 21st century, where we are so much dependent on internet for all types of information, we need a strong and capable workforce to deal with the situation and safeguard our sites.
To handle all this, we need a workforce of ethical hackers. Ethical Hacker is an expert who knows about the computer security and networking system, and is hired to keep an eye on vulnerability of an organization’s computer system to an outside breach or hacking. He/she may use the same techniques or paths to protect the site which an unscrupulous hacker may apply. He/she identifies the problem or pitfalls in the system and can create solution for it.
Hackers are considering India as an easy target because we are not paying much attention to this area as compared to other countries. In our country, we have a good cyber law, but normally people are not conscious about it. People easily fall in trap and became victims of cyber hacking. Unfortunately, our police officers are also not so familiar with required skills for the job. The industry of ethical hacking has grown tremendously in the last few years and business has grown upto $ 3.8 billion in US alone.
According to Nasscom findings, India will require at least 77,000 ethical hackers every year whereas at the moment we are producing only 15,000 in a year. Therefore, it is still an unexplored field. We require more trained professionals to protect our site from outside hacking threats. One can study a professional course to become a professional hacker and can work with software companies. They can also work with cyber law firms or Anti Terrorist Squad to decode the threat attacks. One can also work as a trainer in firms to educate people about hacking or how to protect their email id or websites from hacking. In this profession you can earn good as a beginner too if you are aware and capable of building a safety path for that cyber firm.
