  • Appear in the SLAT entrance exam.
  • Apply for the SLAT Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interaction (PI).
  • Appear in WAT and PI.

Q:   What are my career opportunities if I attend a reputed law college after passing the SLAT exam?

A:

Candidates who clear the SLAT exam need to note that passing this exam is not a guarantee of a successful career in law, even if you attend a highly reputed law college. They must work hard to develop the real-life skills that are required to succeed as lawyers during their years of education at a law college. They need to learn all the law-related lessons taught to them at the college and implement them practically by participating in moot court activities and internships to gain the legal knowledge applicable to real life scenarios. Moreover, the career opportunities in law also depend on the law in which you specialise. The job opportunities in the field of law will be related to your specialisation in law.

Q:   Which are the courses offered through SLAT?

A:

SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) serves as the entrance exam for various law programs offered by Symbiosis Law School (SLS) campuses. Here are the key law courses typically offered through SLAT:

1. B.A. LL.B. (Hons.): This is a 5-year integrated undergraduate programme that combines a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. It is designed to provide a comprehensive legal education.

2. B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.): Similar to the B.A. LL.B. program, this is also a 5-year integrated course that combines a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an LL.B. degree. It emphasizes the intersection of law and business.

It's important to note that specific law schools under Symbiosis International (Deemed University) may offer variations of these programmes or additional specializations. Therefore, candidates interested in SLAT should refer to the official SLAT notification or the respective Symbiosis Law School's website for the most up-to-date information on the courses offered through SLAT for the year they plan to apply.

Q:   Is it possible for me to get admission to a top law college based on my SLAT scores?

A:

Yes, candidates can get admission to four law colleges or schools at Symbiosis International University based on their SLAT scores. These law schools are Symbiosis Law School Pune, Symbiosis Law School Noida, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, and Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad.
