The Bar Council of India (BCI) has finally announced the exam dates of All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XV and, this year the examination will be held on August 16. The council will begin the online registrations for AIBE 2020 from May 16 onwards. The event-wise schedule of AIBE (XV) 2020 has been released late at night on May 11 (Monday). The council has stated that it is a tentative schedule, which is subject to change as per the current situation of COVID-19 situation in the country. Moreover, the council has also announced that it will be publishing the status of candidates who appeared at 'AIBE 14 cancelled test centres' and were termed disqualified.
In the official notification on the website of AIBE, it was notified- “This is to notify all the candidates that the schedule for AIBE-XV has been decided. Kindly click here to view the schedule. Also, the candidates who had appeared at the cancelled centres for AIBE-XIV are to be updated soon.”

In the notification, BCI also stated that "Council reserves the right to extend the said examination date in case of unavoidable circumstances. In that case, any request for refund/ adjustment of fees shall not be entertained."
Candidates have been awaiting the announcement of AIBE 2020 for a long time now. However, as the exam schedule has been announced tentatively, it is not confirmed if the exam will be held only once this year. AIBE Department is likely to resume from May 17 onwards after lockdown 3.0 is lifted and, all information regarding the examination will be clear thereafter.
