AILET 2016 Application Process
AILET is scheduled to be conducted on May 1, 2016. AILET is a one and half hour duration law entrance exam which will he held across 19 test cities in the country on the exam day.
All India Law Entrance Exam (AILET) is conducted by National Law University (NLU), New Delhi in order to offer admissions to aspirants in law programmes offered by it.
AILET 2016 will comprise of 150 questions wherein each correct answer provided by a candidate will earn him/her one mark each.
Candidates can apply for AILET 2016 by filling the application form on the official website of NLU, Delhi. The steps candidates need to follow in order to successfully fill the application form for AILET are as mentioned below:
Step 1: Create a new account
Here, candidates need to provide their email address, password, name, date of birth, mobile number and address.
Candidates need to provide a valid email ID because the acknowledgement slip for the application submitted by them will be e-mailed on the given address.
Step 2: Apply for course
In this step, first of all one needs to select the course for which they are applying online. The course options available include – BA LLB (Hons), LLM, PhD.
After selecting the course of choice, aspirants need to click on the “Apply Now” button.
Step 3: Fill Application Form
Here, candidates will find that the first half of the application form is already filled up as per the information shared by them while creating their account.
In the application form, candidates need to fill the details as mentioned below:
- Religion: Hindu, Muslim, Sikhs, Jains, Christians, Buddhists, Sindhis, Parsi, Others
- Category: General, PwD, SC, ST, Kashmiri Migrant and Foreign National (need to provide passport, visa endorsement details and upload relevant documents)
- Nationality
- Examination centre: Need to give three preferences from the 19 test centres available for the exam
- Address for communication
- Education details: Candidates need to provide information about their school, board, year of passing, CGPA (cumulative grade point average), maximum marks, marks obtained, and percentage of marks. For Class 12 details, aspirants also need to mention their Class 12 stream.
- Details of parents: their name, occupation & designation, annual income, office address, phone, mobile number, fax and e-mail address.
- Upload photograph
- Upload signature
Note: The official website informs, “Scanned Copy of Photograph (in jpg, gif or bmp format) not more than 150 KB. 75% of the photograph must cover the candidate's face Click on upload button to check your photo uploaded correctly or not. (Candidates with incorrectly filled photographs are liable to be disqualified)”.
Step 4: Pay Application Fee
Candidates need to make the payment for the application form. Here, aspirants are given the option of either paying the exam fee through the online mode or they can even pay the fee via Post Office.
