The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) 2022, which is also accepted by the Aligarh Muslim University for admissions to its undergraduate courses. CUET 2022 is being conducted in two phases from July 15 to August 10 for Phase I, and from August 4 to August 28 (postponed date). The exam is set to be conducted in multiple slots (two shifts on each test day) on the scheduled dates. AMU CUET 2022 Students Reaction - Subject-wise Paper Analysis for Phase I

The details of AMU CUET 2022 question paper difficulty level shared by the test-takers is as under:

Mihika Kulshrestha appeared for CUET 2022 appeared for English, General Test, Sociology subjects. She added that the question paper was easy, and the General Test section had more questions. She added that some questions in General Test section were difficult. There were no technical glitches in her testing system. 

Q:   Is Aligarh Muslim University only for Muslims?

A:

No, the university is open to all irrespective of caste, creed, religion or gender. All one has to do is fulfill the eligibility criteria and secure a seat in this university. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are the AMU Entrance Exam,  CUET, and others. Aligarh Muslim University do follow a reservation policy which can be checked from the official website. Recently, in a press statement as released by the Indian Express, Aligarh University member clarified that the university has never followed a policy of reserving seats for Muslims. “It rather reserves 50% seats for internal students regardless of their religion or caste, ”.

Mamta Kumari, shared that she took CUET 2022 for subject combination of English, Hindi, General Test, and Sociology. Talking about the overall difficulty level, she shared that the question paper was easy to moderate except for Sociology section. She'll be appearing for CUET 2022 Phase II examinations for Political Science, Hindi, Fine Arts etc. on August 5. 

Aarshi Pathak appeared for CUET 2022 with subject combination Business Studies, Legal Studies, Economics, and General Test. She shared that General Test, and Legal Studies were difficult than the other two sections. She also appeared for CLAT 2022, which was a bit tricky and lengthy than CUET 2022. 

Q:   What is the exam pattern of AMU entrance exam 2025?

A:

The exam pattern for AMU Entrance Exam 2025 for B.A. LL.B. includes 100 multiple-choice questions, of 1 mark each, and there will be no negative marking in case of incorrect attempts. The question paper of B.A. LL.B. For AMU Entrance Exam 2025 will be based on three subjects - Proficiency in English- 40 Questions, Current Affairs/ General Knowledge (with focus on legal issues) - 40 Questions, and Reasoning and Aptitude - 20 questions. The exam pattern for all other subjects through AMU Entrance Exam 2024 will be same as above except for the subjects asked in the question paper. The subjects for respective courses of AMU Entrance Exam 2025 are as under:

BA (Hons) English Composition, Grammar, Comprehension - 60 marks, General Awareness and Current Affairs 20 marks, Indo-Islamic Culture and Aligarh Movement/ Choice based subject - 10 marks, and Reasoning and Intelligence - 10 marks. B.Sc. (Hons) - 4 subjects, i.e. English- 25 marks, Physics 25 marks, Chemistry 25 marks, and optional subject of 25 marks Biology or Mathematics. B.Com (Hons) English- 25 marks, Accountancy - 20 marks, Business Studies - 15 marks, Economics - 10 marks, Elementary Mathematics and Economics - 10 marks, Reasoning and Numerical Ability - 10 marks, and General Awareness - 10 marks. Q:   Does the AMU Entrance Exam have negative marking?

A:

Yes, the Aligarh Muslim University exam has a negative marking for the engineering programme. One mark will be given for the correct answer and For an incorrect answer, 0.25 or 1/4 marks will be deducted. AMU Entrance exam will be conducted via computer-based mode. The questions will be asked in the Multiple choice questions format. There will be a total of 100 questions in the examination.  As per the marking scheme, five marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark will get deducted for each wrong answer. In terms of placements, AMU has maintained a good record for Law courses. AMU CUET 2022 Student Reaction - Phase II 

Candidates who appeared for CUET Phase II exam day 1 on August 4, 2022, shared that the question paper was easy. However, they also added that there were multiple technical glitches in the test system. The exam got delayed by more than 2 hours for the first shift, and by 1 hour for the second shift, as the previous shift candidates waited for General Test to appear on their test system screen (but never appeared).
