CLAT 2016 Student Feedback

CLAT exam was scheduled to be conducted across 50 test cities today, May 8, 2016. The ninth Common Law Admission Test – CLAT 2016, is being conducted by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Patiala.
CLAT 2016 was held from 3 pm to 5 pm on the exam day and it had 200 multiple choice objective type questions. The CLAT test pattern is such that the question paper would be divided into five sections – English including Comprehension, Legal Aptitude, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability).
Candidates need to reach their designated CLAT exam centre atleast an hour before the commencement of the exam.

Shiksha is reporting for CLAT 2016 from IEC Group of Institutions, Greater Noida where more than 300 students are taking CLAT exam.
Most of the students were extremely happy with their performance in CLAT 2016. Aspirants were quoted as saying that this was the easiest CLAT exam ever. However, since the exam was simple, the cut-off for CLAT 2016 is expected to go very high.
CLAT 2016: Section-Wise Difficulty Level
Mansi Khanna looked very happy after giving CLAT 2016. She said, “My exam was really very good because the paper was very easy. All the sections were equally easy”.
A GD Goenka student, Tamanna Sharma was appearing for CLAT for the first time and she shared, “The exam was pretty easy as compared to what was predicted as per previous years’ papers. Legal reasoning was pretty lengthy because the questions were longer and a bit complicated. Rest, all the sections were easy”.
Along same lines, Samriti of Navodaya Vidyalaya said, “My exam went well. I prepared very well for the exam and the exam was really easy”. Having attempted 199 question, Samriti further spoke about the section-wise difficulty level, “GK was quite easy. I felt some difficulty in solving Maths questions. All the other sections went well. Logical Reasoning was also very easy”.
A student of Ryan International School, Greater Noida, Sukhman revealed, “I think the paper was good. I don’t think people require coaching for such an exam. All the sections were easy. If one is regular with newspapers, they can solve the GK section and the logic and legal part was OK, not difficult. English was nice”.
“CLAT 2016 was easier than previous years’ exams”, shared Nikita who attempted a total of140 question in the exam. A student of Hans Raj Model School, Nikita elaborated further by saying, “The exam was good. Legal Aptitude was good. Maths was quite tricky. English was good and GK was fine. The Legal Aptitude section was easy, there were facts and principles in the questions but they were quite easy to understand”.
Somerville School’s student, Nancy Choudhary shared, “My exam went well. The questions were easy. Maths was tough for me, I don’t have Maths as a subject in school so it was tough for me. Rest all the sections were easy”.
“The paper was great. If last time the difficulty level of the exam was 100, then this time it was one”, shared a very happy Harsh Narwal, a student of Rameesh International. He further said, “English was the easiest section, none of the sections were difficult. But some questions were difficult and I didn’t attempt them only. I attempted 140 questions in the exam”. Along same lines, Yogesh Garg who gave the exam last year also shared that his exam went much better than last year. “I found Legal Aptitude section to be a little difficult but rest all the sections were very easy”, he said.
CLAT 2016: Exam Pattern
Majority of the students shared that although the CLAT exam pattern wasn’t very different as compared to last year but the exam was much easier as compared to previous years’ CLAT test papers.
Tamanna Sharma said, “The exam pattern wasn’t exactly same as last year. It was easier than last year”. Along same lines, Samriti shared, “Previous years’ exam pattern was quite hard but this year the exam was very easy”.
Talking about the exam pattern, Sukhman shared, “I think the exam pattern was different because I saw the last year paper and in it English section was difficult but this year it was very easy and Maths was also easy”.
Harsh Narwal felt that the CLAT exam “pattern was the same but difficulty level was nothing as compared to last years’ exam”.
CLAT 2016: Post Graduation Exam
Ritu, a student of Lloyd College appeared for CLAT 2016 PG exam. She shared that her exam was average. She further said, “The first section was Constitutional Law, second was Jurisprudence and third was other subjects. Other subjects was pretty easy. There were questions from IPR, Contract and Torts and all. It was OK. Constitutional Law was a little difficult due to cases and you had to go to the depth of the articles. Jurisprudence is anyways very difficult due to the names”.
Talking about the CLAT 2016 PG exam pattern she said, “The pattern of the exam was a little easier than last year. The pattern was almost same. This year, the first section was Constitutional Law, last year, it was Jurisprudence but overall the exam was OK”.
