CLAT 2016 results were declared a day before the actual result declaration date as shared by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Patiala, the NLU conducting CLAT 2016 exam. Results for CLAT exam were declared on May 22, 2016. However, the results for the law entrance exam saw massive rush to the website because of which its servers went down and RGNUL issued a statement informing that the results would be uploaded by them on the morning on May 23, 2016 again.
Bengaluru’s Viraj Ananth secured All India Rank 1 (AIR-1) in CLAT 2016. He shared that his CLAT exam went well but he did not expect to score Rank-1 in the law test. He revealed that, “CLAT was easy this time. The paper contained more questions on current affairs and less emphasis was given to English”.
Viraj is a student of Vidyashilp Academy, Jakkur and is a resident of Sadashivanagar (in Bengaluru).
The second rank in CLAT 2016 is secured by Vansh Aggarwal who is from Delhi.
Both the top rankers of CLAT 2016 want to pursue their law education from National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU).

Last year, Madhya Pradesh’s Aakash Jain secured AIR-1 in CLAT exam. His score was 141.25 marks.

CLAT 2016 was conducted on May 8. A total of 39,495 aspirants took CLAT 2016 exam. Out of this number, 37,175 candidates took the exam to secure admission in undergraduate law programmes.
