CLAT 2021 will be held on July 23. Strict COVID-19 measures will be taken the exam centres to ensue safety of students and examiners. It is not mandatory for candidates to get vaccinated before the exam.
The Supreme Court of India recently refused to postpone the CLAT 2021 exam and directed the Consortium of NLUs to follow complete safety protocols at the test centre. Earlier, the petitions were filed in the Apex court challenging a notification released by the Consortium on June 14, 2021, which stated, “The candidates are advised to get themselves vaccinated.”
In the petition, it was submitted that it is impossible for candidates to get vaccinated as most of the students are below 18 years of age. Therefore, SC has directed the CLAT Consortium to not insist on the students being vaccinated to take the examination.
