Eligibility criteria and test centres for DU LLB entrance exam 2016

Delhi University conducts DU LLB entrance exam to offer admissions to aspirants in law programmes offered at its colleges. LLB course offered at Delhi University (DU) is a three year bachelor’s degree course wherein a candidate can secure admission in the law programme offered at Faculty of Law, Delhi University on the basis of merit in DU LLB entrance exam.

The DU LLB entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 22, 2016.

The DU LLB entrance exam question paper contains a total of 175 questions that applicants need to complete in two hours duration. The exam pattern for DU LLB entrance exam is such that the test paper has objective multiple choice questions which are segregated in two parts –

1) English Language Comprehension, GK and Current Affairs, Reasoning and Analytical Abilities,

2) Legal Aptitude and Awareness.

DU LLB Entrance Exam 2016 Eligibility Criteria

A student is eligible for DU LLB entrance exam if he/she has graduated from any stream from a recognised Indian/foreign university or an equivalent institution.

Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 21 years of age in order to fulfill the DU LLB entrance eligibility criteria.

Other eligibility criteria that candidates need to fulfill in order to be eligible for admissions in LLB course at DU include that:

• The general category students should hold a graduate and/or post-graduate degree from DU or any other recognised Indian or foreign university with minimum 50% marks.

• The OBC and SC/ST category students should score at least 45% and 40% marks respectively from a recognised university at their graduation/post-graduation level.

Note: A relaxation of 5% is provided to general category students who fall under the widows/wards of ex-servicemen/serving personnel (CW) category. Also, a relaxation of up to 5% is provided to students in the physically handicapped (PH) category.

A candidate can secure admission in the LLB programme offered at Delhi University only on the basis of merit in the LLB entrance exam. With total 2310 seats available for admission, the DU LLB entrance exam scores will be accepted by DU’s Faculty of Law – Campus Law Centre, Law Centre I, and Law Centre II.

For the first time, the DU LLB entrance test 2016 is scheduled to be held at centres in Delhi as well as outside Delhi. The various test cities for Delhi University LLB entrance test 2016 include:
