Syllabus and Exam Pattern for DU LLB Entrance Test 2016

Delhi University’s Faculty of Law conducts the DU LLB entrance exam for admitting candidates in the 3-year undergraduate law course offered by its colleges. The exam is conducted annually, mostly in the month of June with approximately 15,000 candidates applying for the test every year. For the academic session commencing in 2016-17, DU LLB entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 22, 2016 (12:00 PM - 2:00 PM).

Any candidate who is a graduate from a recognised university or an equivalent national college fulfills the eligibility criteria for the DU LLB entrance exam 2016. However, before appearing for the entrance test, applicants need to register themselves on the official website of Delhi University. The applications for DU LLB admissions can be made in the online mode only.

The DU LLB entrance test is typically held in Delhi. However, for the academic session commencing in 2016-17, the DU LLB entrance test is also scheduled to be conducted at cities located outside Delhi. These cities include Bengaluru, Jammu, Kolkata, Nagpur, and Varanasi. It may be noted that candidates are informed about the exact test centre locations only when the admit card for DU LLB entrance exam is issued to them.

Admissions to LLB course at DU are made on the basis of merit in the entrance exam. The merit list of shortlisted candidates is issued along with the results of the entrance exam.

Once the result of LLB entrance exam 2016 is out, qualifying candidates have to appear for the counselling procedure, on the basis of which seats are allotted to them in Faculty of Law’s colleges at DU. Colleges that accept DU LLB entrance exam scores for admission include Campus Law Centre, Law Centre I, and Law Centre II.

DU LLB Entrance Exam Pattern 2016

Delhi University conducts LLB entrance exam in offline mode in English language. The test pattern of DU LLB entrance exam 2016 is such that the question paper consists of 175 multiple choice objective questions which students need to answer in a duration of two hours.

Marking Scheme: A candidate is awarded four marks for each correct answer. However, there is also negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. No marks are added or deducted from a candidate’s score if a question is left unanswered.
