LSAT India 2016 Student Feedback
LSAT India 2016 was scheduled to be held on May 15, 2016 from 10:30 am to 12:50 pm. Aspirants were asked to reach their LSAT India 2016 test centre by 9:30 am.
LSAT India is a paper-pencil based exam which had four sections – Analytical Reasoning, First Logical Reasoning, Second Logical Reasoning as well as Reading Comprehension. Each test section of the exam contained approximately 24 questions. Overall, the test paper had 92 questions which aspirants had to attempt in two hours twenty minutes.
This law entrance exam pattern is such that there is no negative marking in the exam. Apart from that, LSAT India results will be announced on percentile basis.
Shiksha is reporting live from an exam centre located at IMS,Noida where around 650 students are taking LSAT India 2016.
Most of the students shared that the LSAT India 2016 exam paper was simple (overall). However, many felt that the questions asked in the Reading Comprehension section were tricky.
LSAT India 2016: How was the exam?
Giving LSAT India 2016 for the first time, Pragati said, “The exam was easy and I completed it 10 minutes before the end time”. On the contrary, Ishita Suri of Bharat National Public School felt that the exam “was tricky and overall my exam went moderate”. Elaborating further, she said, “Every section was difficult and lengthy and the time given to solve questions in each section was very less”.
A student of Somerville School, Prateek shared, “It was purely an English exam. There was one section of Logical Reasoning and rest only English questions were asked”.
Harsimrat Kaur of Gurusharan Public School revealed that, “The exam was quite easy but it was all based on English. So, you had long questions which involved a lot of reading”. She further shared, “Some of the Logical Reasoning questions were a little difficult. We were given 35 minutes to attempt each section and I was able to attempt all the questions on time”.
Along same lines, DPS Ghaziabad’s student, Apoorva Agarwal said: “Exam was good, it was easy. There was ample time to solve questions in each section. There were 92 questions and no negative marking. So, I attempted all the questions”.
Talking about her experience of giving LSAT India 2016, Yukti Narang, of DPS Noida shared, “It was fine. Time given to solve the questions was also Ok. The questions asked were a little tricky”.
Contrary to what majority of the students felt, Cambridge School’s student, Akriti Singh revealed, “I found the exam to be tough and some of the questions were a little boring”. She further stated, “I didn’t get enough time to solve the paper and so wasn’t able to attempt all the questions but then I made some guesses and attempted the remainder of the questions without solving them”.
Vignesh Singh, a student of Hindu college was giving the LSAT India exam for 3 year law programme. He shared that, “The exam was nice. I attempted all the questions”.
Talking about the different sections of the exam, he said, “The logical sections were not that difficult. The Comprehensions were a bit long. The first Logical Reasoning section was a bit more challenging than the second one”.
LSAT India 2016: Section-wise difficulty level
Majority of the students felt that the difficulty level of the Reading Comprehension section was the highest. Confirming the same, Pragati said, “The English section was more difficult than the other sections. The Analytical Section was the easiest”.
“All the sections were fine. According to me, English was the toughest section”, said Apoorva.
A student of St Thomas School, Sanchi shared, “My exam went well. Analytical Reasoning was quite difficult. Logical Reasoning and English sections were quite easy”. Talking about different sections of LSAT India 2016 exam, she said: “Second Logical Reasoning contained more general type questions and first Logical Reasoning contained more paragraph type questions. I attempted all the questions”.
As per Yukti, “The Logical Reasoning questions were a little tricky and the ones we had to solve and make a table were a little difficult as well as tricky. Otherwise, it was OK. There were 92 questions I attempted all of them. There was no negative marking in the paper and we were given one mark for every correct answer”.
“First section was of English and the English part was the most difficult one. The Analytical Reasoning questions were good”, shared Akriti Singh.
LSAT India 2016: Exam Pattern as compared to previous years’ papers
Talking about LSAT India exam pattern, Harsimrat Kaur said, “I saw last years’ papers and also some sample papers, the questions in past years’ papers were based on analytical type questions but majority of the questions in this year’s paper were based on English”.
Yukti also felt that “The test pattern was a little different because last year there were 100 questions asked in the exam. But the level of difficulty was the same”.
However, as per Akriti Singh, the exam pattern and questions asked in LSAT India were almost the same as last year”.
