My Introduction to Activism through Law
New Delhi, June 16 - I took admission in the year 2003. My ambition was to become a civil servant. Law and psychology were to have been my main papers. But fate had different things in store for me. Everything changed after I was selected as convenor for the "legal aid clinic for the slum dwellers" in 2004-05. I became a social activist and got involved in the "Aravali Ridge and River Yamuna Protection Movement". I did discontinue studies, but am back again. I thank the academic council of the University of Delhi for granting me special permission to complete my LL.B even though I have exhausted the maximum period of six years by which I was supposed to complete my degree.
I attribute my commitment to the cause of the public to the learned faculty of this institute. Upon completing my degree I would like to empower the society with the knowledge of the law of the land that I will gather by then.
