SLAT 2019 Exam Pattern & Section-Wise Difficulty Level
Akshat Goyal from Maxfort School, Rohini shared that his paper went well and he will be able to score high marks in the exam. Talking about the section-wise difficulty level of SLAT 2019, Akshat said, “All sections in the exam were easy. However, to our surprise, this year the Logical Reasoning section included few Maths questions on topics such as simple and compound interest, profit & loss, and percentage. The level of questions, however, was easy.”
As per Rishabh Sachdeva, “The exam was easier as compared to previous years’ SLAT papers. However, out of all the sections, I found the level of questions asked in General Knowledge section of the exam a bit high.”
Bhavani Narang who has applied for BBA LLB programme, shared, “My exam went good. But according to me the most difficult section in the exam was Legal Reasoning as one had to remember various amendments, article numbers and laws. Apart from this, I found Reading Comprehension section of SLAT 2019 a bit lengthy.”
According to another student, Sahana, “SLAT was easier as compared to other law entrance exams like CLAT and AILET. For me, out of all the sections in the exam, Logical Reasoning section was the easiest followed by Analytical Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Reading Comprehension. Legal Reasoning section was also easy but it required some memorization.”
Himanshu Arya who came all the way from Chandigarh to give SLAT 2019 exam said, “The paper was easy. Out of all the sections, I found Analytical Reasoning the most difficult.”
As per Sanchi from The Heritage School, Gurgaon, “The level of questions in the exam were as expected. There was no negative marking which is a big plus point of this exam. There were total five sections – Analytical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge, Reading Comprehension and Logical Reasoning. Of all the sections, Reading Comprehension was fairly easier than I had expected. The paragraphs were not that long and so I could attempt the questions of this section easily.”
However, another student, Rishabh held contrary views to Sanchi on the difficulty level of Reading Comprehension section. He said, “The whole paper was quite easy but the most difficult section for me was Reading Comprehension as it tested vocabulary, which I am not good at.” Rishabh further said, “I am expecting that this year SLAT cutoff would be very high – about 120 or 130 out of 150 marks.”
