117% Rise in Demand for Social Media Skills in HR Jobs

According to Wanted Analytics, known for providing real-time business intelligence for the talent marketplace, employers have posted 900 new job ads for Recruiters and Employment Specialists with social media skills in past 90 days.

From the same 90-day period in 2010, such a demand has increased 117% while it has increased 350% as compared to the same 90-day period in 2009.

Overall, demand for social media skills in HR jobs encompasses 7% of employers or over 500 companies. Yet, recruiting conditions for Employment Specialists and Recruiters with social media skills is moderately competitive. According to WANTED, there are 11 potential candidates in the workforce for each job opening.
