The Indian Institute of Mass Communication or IIMC is regarded as one of the most prestigious institute in the arena of Mass Communication and related fields. The IIMC entrance known to be a tough nut cracker is scheduled for 21 May 2012 across the nation. Mass media aspirants on successful completion of the exam can get themselves enrolled in the following one year post graduate programmes:

- Post-graduate Diploma Course in Journalism (Oriya) Dhenkanal branch (Orissa)
Eligibility Criteria:
For taking part in this examination the candidate must have fulfilled the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Those who have appeared/appearing in final degree examination
- are also eligible to apply.
- 1.8.1987 or later (for SCs/STs/PH 1.8.1982 or later and for OBC 1.8.1984 or later).
Paper Structure:
The entrance will basically comprise of written test consisting of questions on language, general awareness and aptitude. Medium of the entrance will be entirely based on the course selected by the candidates. If the candidate is opting for Journalism in Oriya, Hindi or English then the candidate will have to give the entrance in the respective languages. - Journalism (Hindi and English) - 21.5.2012 (9 am to 11 am)
- Radio & TV Journalism - 21.5.2012 (12 noon to 2 pm)
- Advertising and Public Relations - 21.5.2012 (3 to 5 pm)
- Oriya Journalism - 22.5.2012 ( 9 am to 11 am)
This entrance will take place in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Patna, Lucknow, Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, Chennai, Jammu, Srinagar, Kochi, Nagpur, Aizawl and Guwahati centres. Oriya Journalism Exam will be held on 22 May 2012 at Bhubaneshwar Centre only.
