India Today features MIC among top 5 colleges

MIC amongst top 5 mass communication colleges according to India TodayIn a recent survey conducted by India Today, Manipal Institute of Communication or MIC has finally made it to the top 5 mass communication colleges in India.

 

India Today has been doing such annual surveys for the last 14 years for various academic disciplines. In order to determine its list of top undergraduate colleges in the country, India Today roped in The Nielsen Company for its 2011 survey.

 

The surveyed colleges were ranked based on seven of the below mentioned parameters. Rankings of MIC are as follows:

 

 

  • Reputation - 10
  • Academic Input - 10
  • Student Care - 10
  • Infrastructure - 10
  • Placement - 10
  • Perceptual Rank - 10
  • Factual Rank - 1

 

MIC bagged the 5th top spot having ranked one in factual ranking, even though it was ranked 10 in six out of seven parameters. The national level perceptual scores formed the basis for colleges to be rated for factual ranking. Top 50 colleges each were chosen for arts, science, commerce and Top 25 for engineering, medicine and law. Read more
