Jamia Millia Islamia Mass Communication Entrance Exam 2016 Application Process

Jamia Millia Islamia University has begun the application process for mass communication entrance exam 2016. The last day for submission of Jamia mass communication application forms is April 21, 2016.

In order to appear for the mass communication entrance exam for admissions in Jamia Millia Islamia University, eligible candidates need to fill the application form on the official website of the university. However, before starting with the application process, candidates need to ensure that they fulfill the basic eligibility criteria for JMI mass communication entrance exam 2016. Given below is a detailed description for filling the Jamia Millia Islamia mass communication entrance exam application form.

Note: Jamia’s application form for mass communication entrance test 2016 can be filled in the online mode only.

Jamia Millia Islamia Registration Process

Prior to starting with the mass communication online application process, candidates need to register themselves at the official website of Jamia Millia Islamia University.

Step 1: Click on "Apply for Admission" button given at the home page of Jamia’s entrance test website.

Step 2: On clicking the button, you will be redirected to another page. Click the "Register Yourself" link given on this page.

Step 3: Once you click on the link, a Registration Form will open on your screen. Fill all the details on the form marked with red bullet points. Fields with red bullet points are mandatory to be filled. Once all the details are properly filled, click on the “Sign Up” button at the bottom of the page.

Note: Candidates are recommended to fill all the details in the registration form carefully as once submitted, no changes can be made in the form at a later stage in the application process.

Step 4: After clicking the “Sign Up” button, a confirmation message will be displayed on your screen. Apart from this, you will also receive a validation code on your mobile number and an email on your email ID that you provided in the registration form. There would be an activation link in that email. Click on that link.

Step 5: On clicking that link, you will be redirected to a new page. Fill the validation code you received on your mobile (refer Step 4) and your JMI mass communication entrance exam registration will be complete.

After this you will be redirected to the My Application section where you can select mass communication as your course and start filling the Jamia application form online.

Selection of Course

Step 1: On completion of your registration on Jamia’s official website you will be able to login to complete the application process. After you login, a dashboard will open on your screen. Click the “Application Forms” icon on the dashboard and you will be redirected to a page, “Status of Submitted Applications”.

Step 2: Select your course type and course name from the drop-down boxes given on the page. Next, click the checkbox given at the bottom of the page. Finally, click the “Add Course” button to apply for different courses offered at Jamia Milia Islamia University.

Filling the Jamia Application Form 2016

Step 1: After successful addition of the JMI course that you want to apply for, the JMI mass communication application form will appear on your screen. The form will have the following four sections:

1. Applicant Details
2. Correspondence Address
3. Your Preference City of Entrance Test Centre
4. Upload scanned image file of your Photograph and Signature

Start filling the details in all the sections. Note that it is mandatory to fill all details marked with red asterix.
Step 2: After you have filled up all the details in the application form, click on the “Save” button.

Step 3: Finally, click on the “Save and Continue” button.

Uploading the Image File of Scanned Photograph and Signature

To upload the image file click the “Upload Photograph and Signature” button present on the left panel of the screen.

Note that the size of your scanned passport photograph should be within 3.5 X 4.5 centimetres, scanning resolution should be within 100 dpi, and file size should be less than 100 KB.

In case you face a problem in uploading your photo, you can resize it by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Right click on the scanned photo file and open it with Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

Step 2: Next, look at the top menu, Click Picture and then click on Resize.

Step 3: Now, select the radio button “Custom width x height” given at the right panel, and change the width and height to 138px and 177px, respectively. Click OK to complete your action.

Step 4: You can also try the “Crop” feature in case you are not able to follow Step 3 properly.

Step 5: Save the file.

Step 6: Now choose the image file created and the signature and click the “Upload Photo” and “Upload Signature” button.

Step 7: Click “Save and Continue”.

Step 8: Select your preferred test centre for Jamia mass communication entrance exam 2016 from the drop-down list.

Step 9: After this, your application process for Jamia Milia Islamia mass communication entrance test 2016 is almost complete. Click the “Save and Continue” button. Next, click the “I confirm the above” checkbox and click the “Confirm and Submit” button.

Payment of Registration Fee

Once your application form is successfully submitted, click the "Proceed for submission and payments" button to pay your registration fee.

On completing this step, you have successfully registered for Jamia Millia Islamia Mass Communication Entrance Exam.
