Syllabus & Exam Pattern for Mass Communication Entrance 2016 at Jamia Millia Islamia

Jamia Millia Islamia mass communication entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 15, 2016. The exam will be of 3 hours duration and will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Interested candidates can apply for the mass communication entrance exam 2016 on Jamia Millia Islamia’s official website. Candidates are recommended to read through the university’s prospectus carefully before filling the application form. Admission to Jamia Millia Islamia’s mass communication programme will be done on the basis of merit which will be determined by an entrance test.

Exam Pattern for JMI Mass Communication Entrance Exam 2016

The admission process for mass communication programmes offered at JMI comprises of three steps, which are:

• Written test
• Portfolio Making
• Interview

Written Test: The question paper of Jamia mass communication written entrance test 2016 contains two sections, namely,

Section-A (Multiple Choice Objective Questions)
Section-B (Descriptive/Subjective)

Section-A of the exam is of 20 marks weightage while Section-B is of 180 marks weightage. In section-A no negative marking is done in case a question is wrongly answered or left unanswered.

A candidate needs to have minimum 40% marks in order to clear the written mass communication entrance test.

Portfolio: Candidates who get shortlisted for the interview round need to carry a portfolio with them which works as a documentary evidence of media-related activities performed by them.

Interview: Candidates who qualify the written examination of Jamia mass communication entrance test are called for the interview round. Here, each candidate goes through a face-to-face interview which usually lasts for 10 to 20 minutes.

Aspirants need to prepare for different components of Jamia Millia Islamia mass communication entrance test 2016. The syllabus for each test section of the entrance is mentioned below:

Written Test: In section-A of Jamia mass communication entrance question paper, questions are from four areas/subjects:
