Bachelor of Journalism (BJ)

A Bachelor of Journalism is an undergraduate degree in the field of journalism and mass communication. Candidates can pursue the course after completing their 12th.  The course duration is three years and aspirants are taught about the various aspects of the media industry which includes subjects such as reporting, writing, research, history of journalism, editing and much more.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their 12th from a recognized board are eligible. Students from any stream (Science/Commerce/Arts) can opt to pursue a course in Bachelor of Journalism.

For this course, various universities conduct entrance exams in order to be eligible for admission in the varsity the candidate is applying for.

Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC)

A Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication is an under-graduate degree course for candidates who opt to build their career in the field of journalism and mass communication after 12th. In this course, candidates are able to refine and sharpen their skills in the course as well as be exposed to the practical work apart from theory. There are many career opportunities for students who pursue a BJMC course and can get to work in renowned channels, newspapers, publishing houses, advertising agencies, production houses and many more.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their 12th from a recognized board are eligible for the course. However, the candidate should have scored a minimum of 60 per cent marks in their 12th examinations. The candidate should also be a minimum of 17 years in age.

Other than the mentioned criteria’s above, various universities host entrance exams in order to be eligible for admission in the varsities. The candidate must procure a certain rank or score in order to meet the eligibility criteria’s which have been set by universities.

Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM)

If you’re the inquisitive type with a curious mind, a Bachelor in Mass Media is then a course which you should pursue after completing your 12.
