MICA CCC Program gets more creative
Interested in a career in advertising? CCC is a creative program offered at Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA) for aspiring Copywriters, Art Directors, Digital Designers and TV Commercials makers.
In response to the changing needs of the creative communications industry, MICA has doubled the duration of its Crafting Creative Communications (CCC) course from 6 months to 1 year. The full-fledged curriculum will be implemented from the 23rd batch joining the course this year.
This post-graduate programme has 24 seats and leads to a certificate in CCC with specialisation in Copywriting or Art Direction. The revamped course seeks to provide substantial inputs in film-making, radio and digital media by world-class faculty.
Students of CCC have been absorbed into the advertising industry, film &TV production houses and radio channels.
Admissions Criteria:
The Crafting Creative Communications course evaluates and selects applicants based on their innate creative attitude and talent.
- Participants are not expected to have passed CAT (Common Admission Test).
- Candidates need to have Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities
- Participants in the Crafting Creative Art Direction (Module B) must have an equivalent diploma/degree in Fine Arts or Applied Arts. [Candidates have to choose between elective Module A: Copywriting and Module B: Art Direction]

Send the completed form along with a crossed demand draft for Rs 1750 in favour of Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, payable at Ahmedabad before May 10, 2013.
All applicants have to take the written test, which is conducted through internet/Email. Successful candidates will be shortlisted for a campus interview to be held at MICA. The final selection will be based on overall performance.

Several CCC students have won industry recognition. Recently, the film ‘Shift Focus’ by MICA CCC students won 3 awards at Ahmedabad Film Project (AFP2012) including ‘Gold film of the year’, ‘Finest use of theme’ and ‘Superlative music score’.
The film ‘Stand by Me’ directed by by Abhishek Lamba won at the Zonal level at ‘Director’s Cut’ at Channel [V] NOKIA INDIA FEST 2013. The film ‘Catch-22’ directed by Abhishek Lamba won the first prize in the short-film making event ‘Director’s Cut’ at Channel [V] Nokia India Fest 2013.
In May 2013, CCC pass out Chaitanya Joshi took JWT Portfolio Night All Star crown in Mumbai.
