Mystory@Sanjay Kumar

Till Class 11 and 12, your parents/elders’ opinion bears heavy on you as you consider them as your guiding forces. I chose Science in Class 11 and 12 and pursued B.SC (Mathematical Sciences) in Graduation from PGDAV College, DU. It was during the graduation years, I realized that Arts would have been a better choice for me as my interest and strengths always lied there. Eventually, I did my PGD in Journalism from IIMC (Indian Institute of Mass Communication), New Delhi. Given a choice today, I would take Arts as a stream in senior secondary and corresponding endeavors.

“We fall only to rise again!!”

I have worked with various organisation during the 9 plus years of experience I have accumulated. Every career choice I made has helped me in learning and discovering new facets of my strengths and weaknesses. Flexibility and adaptability being my core traits have helped me extend my reach to diverse fields ranging from a stint in the Indian Army to Defence Journalism and the recent tenure at Ministry of Home Affairs.

Additionally, I have also worked as a Senior Assistant Editor at 9dot9 Media handling IT & Cyber Security issues in Private & Government Sector including Event Management. Currently, I am working as an Associate Manager (Content Management & Marketing Communications) with a reputed Education Startup, SuperProfs (Aurus Network/ India’s largest e-Learning network), New Delhi.

I believe, what people call mistakes are actually experiences you can learn from and which add to your CV for a job that might be in the offing.

“We fall only to rise again!!” This worked for me. There were multiple occasions when I faced such a situation, like when I had to leave Army because of a medical injury, but I didn’t take it as a setback. Instead, I used my training and experience to find better jobs and move towards stupendous career opportunities.

I have been very fortunate to crack multiple competitive examinations which have helped me in landing good government and private jobs. The agenda was very simple while cracking the exam: I need just one seat for me, Period. Result is always based on Physics Work (W= F*D) Formula. The Force and Distance represents the amount of effort and your endurance limits, respectively. There is third underlying factor: Attitude. Efforts will reap you results based on your positive /negative attitude. These are the key factors which I keep in my mind.
