Now pursue PhD in MassComm from GGSIPU
Aimed at candidates who want to teach journalism, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is launching PhD programme in Mass Communication from the upcoming academic session 2013-14.
There is a wide gap between the industry requirements and media graduates. To address this gap, right methodology of research along with correct information flow is needed, says CP Singh, dean, University School of Mass Communication (USMC), GGSIPU. PhD students will have the right skill-set for research and teaching, he further added.
Areas of specialisation include journalism, media business and economics, communication of innovations, media and youth, new media and film and electronic media. About 12 seats will be available for the course, but the number is yet to be finalised. Students can pay through the Indian Bank or at the campus counters.

First level (200 marks): Written tests on quantitative understanding of numbers (maths) and statistics, logical reasoning, English comprehension; Second level (400 marks): Tests on the understanding of their subjects; Final round(400 marks): Personal interview |
