Q: Â Can I take admission to DU with 60% in Class 12?
DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.
However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).
Q: Â Can I get into JMI for BA without CUET?
As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BA at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. However, since some universities are also considering other components while giving admission to CUET-UG based courses, it could be a possibility of getting into JMI without CUET. But, this being said there is no official information on whether the university will only consider CUET UG scores or other components as well for admission, it is tough to give the right answer.
