AISFM launches MBA in Film & Media Management
Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM) is now set to launch MBA in Film and Media Management. AISFM’s Film and Media offerings include BFA and MA degrees.
On the successful completion of the program, students will earn a government-recognised MBA degree in media and entertainment and an industry-recognised PG Program in Film and Media management. The media industry is growing tremendously with the advent of big corporates and so the job opportunities are also increasing in this domain.
The whole media industry is facing a talent crunch but more of it can be seen on the management side. While recruiting management professionals for media industry, the choice becomes limited. The biggest problem that mass communication students face is that they lack technical and management training, film students possess no management training, whereas a management student lacks knowledge of the media industry.
The course is designed with the aim to produce the next generation of India’s film and media managers. The first intake of students will begin from October and admissions will close soon.
The course pedagogy of MBA in Film and Media Management includes general management subjects along with knowledge of film, broadcast and new media industries with due practical training. Students will also have to participate in large media projects as part of their course.
