Youngsters who wish to help society but are not sure where to start can apply for a fellowship that entails a 30-day road trip to the hinterlands of India.

The Grassroutes programme funds youth in the age group of 18-25 years to discover and work with change-makers, do their bit and draw more youth into social action. Fellows would have to pay for their travel, but their board and lodging would be taken care of by the Grassroutes team. Applications are accepted in two phases — the first round of evaluations will start by Februaty 1 and selected fellows will be intimated by February 15; the second phase is in March, when candidates would be interviewed over the phone. The road trip is scheduled for the later half of May.

Grassroutes is a team founded by BITS alumni. For details, send an e-mail to apply@grassroutes.in or visit www.grassroutes.in/program/faq.
