Q: Is CAT compulsory for IIM Indore?
The answer is both yes and no. IIM Indore admission for the postgraduate and doctoral-level Management courses, i.e., PGP, PGP-HRM, FPM and E-FPM programmes is completely based on CAT scores followed by a PI round. The percentile of CAT for IIM Indore has gone up to 98 percentile in the past years which shows how rigorous it is for a student to get admission to this institute. Additionally, there is no information about the college giving admission to MBA (or PGP) courses without CAT.
However, for those who wish to get into the institute without CAT, IIM Indore also offers a five-year Integrated Programme in Management for which candidates need to take IPMAT after Class 12, which is followed by an interview. IIM Indore conducts IPM Aptitude Test (IPMAT) to test the applicant’s aptitude, logical reasoning and proficiency in English and Mathematics for admission to IPM. IIM-A has two campuses. The old campus has broad airy corridors, amphitheatre-like classrooms and transition spaces in the complex enhance interaction among the faculty, students and visitors. The designs of Louis Kahn were given shape by a team of architects from the National Institute of Design (NID). This residential college is built entirely in traditional brick construction. Apart from the trademark Harvard Steps, Vikram Sarabhai Library and the Louis Kahn Plaza, IIM-A now also comprises of a new campus that has been designed by Bimal Patel and includes seminar rooms, a courtyard as well as a married student house. Established in 1973, IIM Bangalore (IIM-B) was designed by one of India's Master Architects, BV Doshi. The structure and design of this management college is inspired by the design of Fathepur Sikri. Construction of the campus was completed in 1983.

There are single-seated/twin-sharing accommodation facilities available for all the students on the campus premises with separate blocks/floors for men and women. The hostels are interconnected, mostly in blocks of three. Each hostel block has a common room where facilities such as wall-mounted televisions with DTH connection, table-tennis tables, dart games and carrom and chess games are available. Each block is also equipped with water coolers and water purifiers. The individual rooms are furnished with teak cots and mattress, a computer table, chairs, closets and shelves. All rooms have full-time internet connectivity with direct lines to the main LAN.

The foundation stone for ISB Hyderabad’s campus was laid in 1999 and the college was inaugurated in 2001 by the former Prime Minister of India, Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Spread over 260 acres of land, Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad has a courtyard in the middle of the academic centre which has an open-air atrium, the social hub of the campus. Shops, dining halls, banks, ATM, documentation centre, book store, mailroom, coffee shop, travel desk, etc. are also located on campus.
Surrounded by lawns and gardens, ISB Hyderabad's residential blocks are called student villages. IIM Lucknow
Established in 1984, IIM Lucknow (IIM-L) is spread over more than 190 acres of beautifully landscaped area. All the academic buildings of the institute are constructed in medieval Indian architectural style with red brick wall texture.
The campus of IIM-L was initially set up on barren land but over the years, the college has been converted into a natural ecosystem and home to many bird species. It also consists of open lawns and tree-lined pathways.
Most of the academic buildings on campus are named in Sanskrit. The academic blocks are called Bodhigrih, the Faculty block is named Chintan, Library is known as Gyanodaya, the Management Development Block is referred to as Manthan and the incubation centre is called Abhiyan.
Goa Institute of Management
Established in 1993, Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has a state-of-the-art campus with a breathtaking view of the Western Ghats. GIM has two campuses; the heritage campus is located on the banks of Mandovi River, in Santa Casa de Misericordia in Ribandar.
In 2010, GIM inaugurated its Sanquelim campus which is located at a distance of 23 kilometres from the older campus. The new campus is spread over 50 acres of land and is surrounded by the foothills of Western Ghats. The cost of construction of this new campus is estimated to be around Rs 63 crore.
