10 types of people you might meet during MBA
The WAT-GD-PI rounds of most of the B-Schools are now over and numerous MBA aspirants are ready to embark on a journey towards obtaining an MBA degree. If you too are one of these students, you will meet several people on this path; some that might be on the same boat as you are, while some extremely different from you. But the fact of the matter is that you need to get along with all these people, study and prepare presentations with them.
The benefit of studying alongside a pool of different persons is that it stirs up your creative and imaginative side. Here are 10 different types of people you might meet during your MBA course.
The Geek
There will always be one person in the class who will never fail to occupy the first bench in the classroom. No matter how boring the lecture might be, you will always find this geek taking notes carefully. Not only this, this person will make sure that he/she has at least three different colored pens: one for the heading, the other for the main content and one for underlining the important points. While other students enjoy in the cafeteria or take a stroll through the campus in their free time, this person will be found in the library.
The Silent One
There will be one person in the group whom you never knew existed. These people are present physically, but they hardly speak. Furthermore, you will not even find them contributing to group talks or activities. Once in a while, you will find them speaking that too in a feeble voice. But alert; these people are very intelligent and clever.
The Committee Guy
The best possible way to describe this person is by calling him/her the exact opposite of geek. Name any committee of the college, and he/she will be a part of the same. Also, this person will score well in academics too and will end up getting a good placement.
The Network Builder
This person is a friend of everyone and a foe to none, and usually people belonging to this category are charming. Every single time this person talks, it seems as if he/she is giving a pitch or selling something or the other as his/her sole idea is to find the next boss in the room. You will find this person asking for business cards of everyone, and adding almost everyone on LinkedIn.
The I-Know-it-All
This person thinks that he/she knows everything and has the answer to almost everything. Not only this, this person wants everybody else to know about things that he/she knows (which is almost everything!). Put up any question and this person will have an answer or an opinion, no matter whether it is right or wrong. Moreover, if the answer is not known to him/her, a comment will definitely follow.
The Interrogator
Asking questions is what they are best at. This person will not only ask questions to the answers he/she doesn’t know, but also asks questions to the answers already known to him/her. Not only this, at times you might find such people asking questions again and again on the same topics. For them, questions are asked just for the sake of asking.
The Energy Booster
This person is never lacking in energy. Hoping and jumping around the class and being seen everywhere and anywhere around the campus is what one can expect from him/her. With energy pumping in his/her blood, this person can party all night and still manage to show up in class, looking fresh and ever.
The Topper
Spotting a topper is quiet easy. This person will be a front-bencher, regular in class, will know all the answers, can talk on any topic, and finish all the assignments before the deadline. This person is envied by everybody.
The Lonely One
This person does not belong to any group. Generally, this person likes to stay alone and is often addressed as aloof or even arrogant, but he/she does not get bothered by this.
The Leader
There is one proactive student in the class who loves to be a leader in every task. This person participates actively in every activity and loves organising events, getting photocopies of notes for everyone, and also initiates group studies. This person is generally loved by all the classmates.
Which one of these people will you be?
