All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) released a detailed set of guidelines and a revamped academic calendar for the Indian Technical Education Institutes to follow. Considering the postponed board exams and delayed results due to the nationwide lockdown imposed in the country in order to contain the contagious novel coronavirus, AICTE asked institutes to grant provisional admissions to PGDM and PGCM i.e. Certificate and Diploma Programmes in Management Courses.
According to the official notification released by the AICTE, provisional admissions are allowed in autonomous or stand-alone institutes offering PGDM and PGCM programmes to the students who are in final year but do not have results due to the delayed exams or results. The guidelines also suggest that students taking provisional admissions are supposed to submit the necessary documents including passing certificates and mark sheets by December 31, 2020, in order to confirm their admission.
AICTE Revised Academic Calendar for PGDM / PGCM Institutions
Along with the guidelines, the council also released a revised academic calendar for the affiliated institutes offering PGDM and PGCM programmes. According to the AICTE revised calendar, classes for the existing students will begin from July 1. The detailed calendar is given below:
