AICTE delays CMAT 2016 admit cards

With less than 11 days to go for CMAT 2016 exam, there’s no sign of admit cards on the exam’s official website.

The admit cards were earlier expected to be available for download from January 5, 2016. However, the download icon has been removed from the website with the following message displaying, “The date for download of admit card will be intimated shortly.”

CMAT 2016 exam is scheduled to be held on January 17. View CMAT 2016 important dates. Conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), CMAT is one of the top national-level entrance examinations in India.

AICTE officials were unavailable for comments. It’s rumoured that download of admit cards has been caused due to technical issues.

Only after admit cards are issued, candidates will be able to locate their test centres and plan their travel accordingly. More than 80,000 candidates are expected to appear for CMAT exam this year.

According to the FAQ section of CMAT, “You can PRINT your ADMIT CARD by going to website www.aicte-cmat.in from 5th January, 2016. Apart from the ADMIT CARD made available ONLINE on the website, the admit card will be sent to the email address provided by you. It is therefore, mandatory for you to have a valid email account throughout the selection process. Note: Admit Card is a mandatory requirement in order to take the test. You must bring a print out of your Admit Card to the test centre.”

CMAT 2016 Admit Cards will contain the following information:

• Roll number
• Photograph
• Signature
• Test center venue
• Reporting time etc

CMAT is a computer-based MBA entrance test. The exam will be conducted for three hours (on January 17, 2016 from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM) in a single session in 62 cities across the country.
