Andhra University is all set to offer various self-supported courses such as MBA in hospital administration and PG diploma courses in critical care technology, emergency medicine technology and gastroenterology technology.

AU Admissions 2021: Andhra University is all set to offer MBA in hospital administration and PG diploma courses in critical care technology, emergency medicine technology and gastroenterology technology. According to the reports, the varsity will offer these new self-supported courses related to the medical sector in collaboration with Bollineni Medskills.

As reported by TOI, AU officials stated that the theory and practical classes for these offered courses by Andhra University will be conducted at Bollineni Medskills, KIMS-ICON hospital campus in Visakhapatnam. Candidates interested in AU Admissions 2021 must note that graduates of any discipline can seek admission into the MBA (hospital administration). However, a degree in MBBS, BDS, BSc, Bpharmacy, BSc Nursing, BAMS or BHMS is mandatory to be eligible for admission the one-year PG diploma programmes. The fee is fixed at Rs 45,000 for the MBA programme and Rs 50,000 for the PG diploma programmes. Candidates will be able to download the Application format from www.audoa.in from September 1.

Meanwhile, Andhra University has also decided to introduce MBA in Business Analytics from the 2022-23 academic year. The department of human resource management, Andhra University was merged into the department of commerce and management studies. The same has been approved by the academic senate at a meeting held here in the Andhra University on August 25, 2021. The academic senate met virtually under the chairmanship of vice-chancellor PVGD Prasada Reddy and gave approval to the merger of departments of human resource management and commerce and management studies. During the meeting, the senate also took a decision to increase the number of seats from 44 to 88 for MSc Botany. Similarly, the varsity will double the seats for the integrated course in BTech CSE from the current 120. According to AICTE guidelines, the duration of MCA has been reduced from three to two years.
