Apply to Nirma University: MBA (Family Business & Entrepreneurship)

The Institute of Management, Nirma University, has invited applications for MBA (Family Business & Entrepreneurship) & PhD (Full Time/ External).

MBA (FB & E) (120 seats) offers specialisation in Entrepreneurship and Family Business Management. The programme is spread over two academic years, with each year divided into three terms of about twelve weeks each.

Eligibility

• MBA (FB&E) Programme with specialisation in Entrepreneurship: A three-year bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or its equivalent in any discipline recognised by Nirma University (NU) as eligible for Post-Graduate studies. Students appearing in the final examination of a Bachelor's degree can also apply.
• MBA (FB&E) Programme with specialization in Family Business Management: A three-year bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or its equivalent in any discipline recognized by Nirma University (NU) as eligible for Post-Graduate studies. Students appearing in the final examination of a Bachelor's degree can also apply. The candidate should also have a family business background.
• PhD full time programme: master's degree or equivalent (such as PGDM) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing for final examination can also apply, provided they satisfy the eligibility requirement by June 30, 2013.
• PhD external programme: (a) A Master's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade recognized by the Nirma University. In addition, the candidate should have at least three years full-time teaching experience in management or related discipline or five years of relevant industrial work experience at managerial level. (b) Notwithstanding anything contained above, the Director (NU) may make relaxation in the above criteria in individual case based on the genuineness and the merit of the case.

 

Selection Process

1. The applicants are required to appear in the written test to be conducted by the Institute of Management. The test will be held on May 05, 2013 at following centers: Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Jaipur.
2. Group Discussion and Personal Interview: Candidates short-listed on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for group discussion and personal interview.
3. Final Selection would be based on: Written Test : 70% + Personal Interview : 20% + Group Discussion : 10%

Prospective candidates are required to fill in the application form, which can be obtained on sending a request along with a demand draft for Rs. 1500 in favour of Institute of Management, Nirma University payable at Ahmedabad. The application form can also be downloaded from the official website and submitted along with the prescribed fee.
