Christ University Entrance Test provides admissions in six campuses of Christ (Deemed-to-be University).

Christ (Deemed-to-be University) is one of the top and sought-after private universities in India, offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Engineering etc. Christ University, founded in 1969, is a deemed university, with its main campus in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It was known as Christ college earlier. It is a UGC-recognised and NAAC-accredited institute. The university has over 800 faculty members and admits over 25,000 students every year.

Christ (Deemed-to-be University) conducts its own entrance exam, Christ University Entrance Test (CUET), for admission into its various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The entrance exam provides admissions in its six campuses – Bangalore Central Campus, Bangalore Bannerghatta Road Campus, Bangalore Kengeri Campus, Bangalore Yeshwanthpur Campus, Delhi NCR Campus, and Pune Lavasa Campus. 

Christ University Entrance Test

The CUET assesses the candidates on the following six parameters – English Language, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Analysis, Critical Reasoning and Fundamental Accounting, and Fundamental Mathematics. The exam is computer-based. The duration of the entrance exam is of 2 hours or 120 minutes. There are 120 questions and a maximum score of 120. The correct answers are awarded 1 mark while a wrong answer holds a negative marking of 0.25 mark. The registration for the entrance exam starts in the month of December and ends in March. The registration can be completed online through the official website of the university and offline by sending the documents to the university via post. The admit card is released five days before the exam date. The registration fee required is INR 1,500. 

Q:   How can I apply through ATMA in MBA colleges?

A:
ATMA scores are accepted by over 700 management colleges in India. Candidates who appear for the ATMA exam can get admission to various top MBA, MCA PGDM and MS colleges in India. Each participating institute releases an ATMA cut-off after the exam is conducted. Those candidates who meet the ATMA cutoff will be called for further selection process which includes GD What and PI. The selection process is a four-step process which is explained below: 1. ATMA exam: Applicants need to appear for the ATMA exam on the scheduled date. The exam is conducted in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various exam centres across the country. 2. Group Discussion: Group Discussion or GD is conducted for the students who clear the ATMA exam and meet the ATMA cutoff. They will be called by various participating institutes after the ATMA results are announced. They will have to talk on a particular topic and they will be judged on various grounds. 3. Written Ability Test (What): Candidates will be required to take a What (Written Ability Test) and write a short essay on any topic allotted by the panel of judges. 4. Personal Interview PI Students will then have to appear for an interview before the expert panel after they clear all the previous selection rounds. They will be assessed on general awareness, extracurricular activities, academics, etc.

Q:   Can I appear for MAT from home?

A:
Yes, candidates can appear for MAT exam from home. For that, they need to opt for the Internet Based Test or IBT mode option in the MAT application form. In IBT mode, candidates can appear for the test from home or any location by using a laptop or desktop with a functional webcam and internet connection. Given below are some guidelines for MAT IBT: The candidates must have a stable internet connection with proper speed throughout the exam duration A proxy for this is if they can login into their email accounts without difficulty. Upload Speed: Minimum speed should be 512 kbps Browser to use are: Chrome version 63 and above and Firefox version 52 and above Operating system to use are: WindowsOS (Version7 and above) Dot NETframework: MSB requires dot net framework. The minimum supported version is 4.5.1. NETframework Memory: 65MB permanent free space on the default hard drive.

Q:   What is the CAT eligibility criteria?

A:
CAT (Common Admission Test) is a national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (Iims) for admission to their postgraduate management programs. The eligibility criteria for CAT are as follows: Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute. The minimum percentage required varies from institute to institute. Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing in the CAT exam. Citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of India. NRIs and foreign nationals can also apply for the exam. Reservation Criteria: The reservation criteria for CAT are as per the regulations of the Government of India. Work Experience: Work experience is not mandatory to apply for CAT. However, some institutes may consider work experience as a selection criterion. It is important to note that meeting the eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee admission to the Iims or other participating institutes. Candidates must also meet the selection criteria set by the institutes, which may include factors such as academic performance, work experience, and performance in the CAT exam.

Micro-Presentation and Personal Interview

The students are required to complete the process of a micro-presentation and personal interview after the CUET. It is held on the same day as the entrance exam or on a different day. The micro-presentation and personal interview are conducted at one of the Christ campuses across India. The candidates are required to talk on a given topic for 90 seconds. The university evaluates the candidate’s behaviour, team-building qualities, management skills, overall behaviour and leadership skills through micro-presentation. The topic for the presentation is given by the panel on the spot. Some of the topics which are covered under the micro-presentation include – ‘A leader is born not made’, ‘Is unemployment a serious issue in India?’, ‘We observe Traffic rules by breaking them’, ‘Single Use Plastic Ban’, ‘Make in India’, ‘Importance of Regional Languages’, ‘Safety of Women in India’, ‘India’s #MeToo Movement’, ‘Will Automation take away HR jobs’, ‘Impact of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ etc. The personal interview round includes questions like ‘Tell me about yourself', ‘Why are you choosing Christ University’, ‘What are your Strengths and weaknesses’ ‘What are your hobbies’ etc. The candidates are evaluated on the basis of their CUET exam score, Micro-presentation and Personal Interview and their Academic performance for admissions. The selected candidates are informed through email along with all the relevant details.

Other Entrance Exams for Admissions into Christ University 

For B.Arch. courses, the selection process is based on the scores of NATA or JEE Main scores. It is followed by a Micro-presentation and Personal Interview round. MBA students are assessed on the scores obtained (500 or above) in the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by the AIMA, GMAT score (450 or above), GRE Score (290 or above), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) with 60 percentile or above, Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) with 60 percentile or above, XAT Test for Management Admission with 60 percentile or above and ATMA scores with 60 percentile or above. The candidates applying for the Executive MBA programs are required to have two years of work experience in Bengaluru. The assessment of scores obtained in the entrance tests is followed by a Group Discussion, Micro-presentation, Written and Verbal Assessment and Personal  Interview. For admissions in MPhil and PhD courses, the scores of CSIR NET, JRF, GATE or SLET are considered. The candidates are evaluated based on their marks in post-graduation, scores in CSIR, NET, JRF, GATE or SLET, and the scores in the Christ PhD Entrance exam and Personal Interview. 

The selected students are informed about the status of their application through email with their provisional acceptance letter uploaded on the official website login.

Q:   Can I appear for ATMA exam more than once?

A:

Yes, candidates can appear more than once for the ATMA exam. ATMA is held three to five times a year and the scores of the last exam attempted would be considered for admissions to the colleges accepting ATMA scores. The February session exam will be conducted on February 16, 2025. 

The exam will only be conducted in the computer-based test mode for all the sessions. The difficulty level of the ATMA exam is usually easy to moderate and the candidates can easily prepare for this exam. Candidates who wish to appear for the ATMA exam need to apply on the official website of ATMA AIMS and fill out the ATMA application form after the application window opens. ATMA is held in over 100 test cities in the country which include Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities too.

Q:   What are MAT eligibility criteria?

A:

Since MAT is an entrance exam for post graduate level management courses, the minimum eligibility criteria for MAT exam is graduation. Candidate should have completed graduation in full-time or part-time mode in Arts, Commerce or Science from a recognised university. The eligibility criteria for MAT PBT, CBT and IBT are the same. Final year graduation students who will be giving their final exam or awaiting results are also eligible to appear in MAT. There is no minimum score requirement in MAT. Candidates need to have passing marks in graduation.

However, MBA colleges have the eligibility criteria of minimum 50 per cent in graduation (45 per cent for SC/ST/PWD), thus candidates who aspire to pursue MBA need to ensure that they score a minimum of 50 per cent in graduation. SC/ST/PwD candidates need to have a minimum of 45 per cent in their Bachelor's degree programme. There is no age bar or appearing in MAT. Fresh graduates as well as working professionals can apply for MAT.

Q:   What is the IIM selection criteria through CAT?

A:

IIM selection criteria for all the 21 campuses is same and includes selection of candidates through three stages. CAT score Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion GD and Personal Interview (PI) Academic record, work experience Academic and gender diversity CAT exam score is the first parameter on which candidates are shortlisted for admission. In the first state of IIM admission, the institutes shortlist candidates for WAT, GD and PI on the basis of their CAT score and class 10, 12 and graduation marks. The cut offs for shortlisting of candidates is between 95-100 percentile (for SC/ST/PwD candidates the cut offs are lower). These shortlisted candidates have to then appear for What, GD and PI round. Those who clear this round are considered for final admission. For the final selection, every IIMs takes into consideration the following aspects: CAT score What, GD and PI performance Class 10 and 12 marks Graduation marks Work experience Academic diversity Gender diversity.

Q:   What is the eligibility for the ATMA exam?

A:
Any graduate candidate with a 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for the reserved category) can apply for the exam. Another important criteria is that the applicant must be a citizen of India. There is no age limit to appear for the ATMA exam. Candidates in the final year of graduation or are awaiting the results can also appear for the ATMA exam, and can present the mark sheet at the time of admission. For the MCA programme, candidates must have secured at least 50 per cent aggregate in BCA. The minimum age limit to apply for the MCA programme is 21 years and there is no upper age limit. Also, only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the exam. The candidates who do not match the ATMA eligibility criteria will but have filled the ATMA application form will be disqualified. Their application forms will be rejected. Therefore, candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form as the first step in the ATMA application process is fee payment and application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
