Registrations for SNAP 2015 has already commenced. The exam will be held on December 20, 2015. The last date to register is November 24, 2015. Conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU), SNAP exam scores are used for admission to 13 institutes under the University.  

As compared to many other top national-level exam, SNAP has comparatively easier difficulty level, more candidate-friendly.

In SNAP 2015, students are expected to attempt 150 questions (180 marks) in 120 minutes. There are four main sections:

  • General English
  • Quantitative Ability
  • General Awareness
  • Analytical & Logical Reasoning

Here are five tips from Shiksha.com to score well in SNAP 2015:

1. Exam and Preparation Strategy

Build an exam plan and strategy well in advance for SNAP 2015. While creating the strategy, focus on your strengths and weakness. Have a clear idea on how to prepare each section. During the exam, don’t spend too much time on one question. Develop conceptual clarity on the core syllabus topics. Don’t avoid difficult questions. The best strategy is practice. So keep practicing problems and previous year’s question papers. 

 

2. Time management

Time is a crucial factor. Candidates need to attempt 150 questions in 120 minutes. This means, one is left with less than a minute per question. So it is important for aspirants manage time allotted for the test and distribute it to each section accordingly.

 

3. Speed and accuracy

Speed and accuracy is closely related to time management. Candidates need to attempt as many questions as possible in 120 minutes. Maintaining a good speed during the test is crucial. Speed and accuracy should go hand in hand. One must also be wary of the negative marking pattern of the exam.

 

4. General Knowledge

SNAP tests candidates’ general awareness skills. So it is important to keep following the latest news and develop a habit of reading regularly. One can choose to surf the net or read national dailies.

 

5. Mock Tests

Attempt as many mock tests as possible. Practice makes each candidate perfect. Accuracy can only be gained with practice. Mock tests will also help in understanding the SNAP test pattern. Candidates will become more comfortable with the actual test. It will help develop speed and accuracy. Keep trying different strategies while attempting the mock tests.
