These are first-hand student accounts on how our young population is managing to keep their exam prep or college course work going from the confines of their homes. In case you want to share your lockdown study experience, write to us at publish@shiksha.com.

As we all know about the pandemic “Coronavirus. This virus is transmitting from human-to-human and is critical for every human being. Also, due to this, each state is locked down by the government. During this lockdown situation, every college, and school are ordered by the government to remain closed until further notice.

Due to this, the study of every student across the country is getting affected in one way or the other. The students who are in the last semester and got placed with some company, cannot give their exams due to the lockdown, and thus, they cannot even join those companies. How to conduct the exams and begin the next session on time is a major issue for the students as well as universities.

In this article, I am going to share my preparation schedule for the exams as well as how I utilise my time during the lockdown:

My classes are not affected much as my college started conducting the online classes via Zoom app without wasting much time. This is very helpful for the students to complete the course on time and prepare for the exams accordingly. They could also clarify their doubts with the teachers regularly to get a better understanding of the subject.

Also, I have joined an online course related to my specialisation like Digital Marketing by Udemy.

This course is also available on many other platforms like Coursera, Google, etc. So, the students could sign-up for any online course as per their preference to gain knowledge about the specific field.

I am also taking online lecture of Aptitude to enhance my skills. This would help me during the placement drives as most of the companies check the aptitude skills of the student. I am doing this right now to ensure that I would be prepared for the test in advance and would not face issues at the last moment.

I have also started reading English newspaper daily as well as trying to talk in English as much as possible to improvise my vocabulary and fluency of the language. I suggest all the guys who would read this article, just try to make most of this time by effectively utilising the time in hand rather than getting involved in gossiping, or other distractions like playing the online game, TV, social media and so on most of the time.

Lastly, focus on utilising this time productively to enhance knowledge and skills.
