IIFT 2023 Exam Day Guidelines for COVID-19

The NTA will conduct IIFT 2022 exam on December 18, 2022, at multiple exam centres in 68 cities across India. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country, the IIFT exam will be conducted as per the guidelines issued by the Government of India to ensure health and safety of the students. Standard Operating Procedures for implementing safety precautions and for maintaining required standard of hygiene will be implemented at every IIFT test centre. Sanitisation, physical distancing, temperature check, covering of face and hand sanitisation will be observed throughout the exam duration.

The IIFT 2022 admit cards released on December 16, 2022. Attached with the admit card is self-declaration undertaking and instructions related to COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. Candidates appearing for the entrance exam must go through the instruction thoroughly prior to the exam day and make necessary arrangements to ensure they do not face any problem at the time of entry or identification process. Given below are some key COVID-19 guidelines for IIFT 2023 exam:

COVID-19 guidelines for IIFT 2023 exam

• Before the commencement of exam, the test centre and seating area will be sanitised. All door handles, staircase railing, lift buttons, etc. will be disinfected.
• The test takers have to reach at their respective exam centres according to the reporting time mentioned on the admit card for staggered entry to maintain physical distancing
• Inside the examination hall, gap between two seats will be maintained. Candidates need to maintain at least six feet distance from each other at all times.
• All exam functionaries will wear mask and gloves at all points of time. Contact free frisking will be carried out using hand held metal detectors at the entry gate.
• Candidates will be sanitise hands by washing with soap and with Hand Sanitiser before entry. Hand Sanitiser will be available at entry and inside the exam venue at various places for candidates and Centre staff to use.
• Candidate will be provided a fresh three-ply mask before entry. The candidates will be allowed to wear only the freshly provided mask at the centre. They will not be allowed to use the mask brought from home.
• Every candidate’s body temperature will be checked at the entry with the help of thermo guns. If the body temperature is noted higher than the COVID-19 norms, candidate would be required to take the exam in a separate room.
• Room number will not be displayed outside the IIFT exam centre to avoid any crowding at any one place. The students will be informed their room/hall number at the registration desk.
• They can check their room number by scanning bar code on the IIFT 2023 admit card on the bar code readers will be available at the entry point
• Invigilator on duty at the registration desk would check candidates’ documents and direct them to their exam room in batches of five each to maintain physical distance
• Five rough sheets will be kept at all desks before start of exam. If additional sheets are required for rough work by the candidate, the same shall be made available on demand.
• On completion of the exam, candidates will be permitted to move out in an orderly manner by maintaining safe distance from each other

IIFT 2023 Exam Day: Important Timings

Documents to carry to the IIFT 2023 exam centre

Candidates will have to show the following documents for verification to the invigilator at the IIFT test centre:

• IIFT 2023 admit cardv (two copies)
• Undertaking with passport size photograph and thumb impression affixed thereon
• Original and valid Identity proof
• One additional photograph for affixing on the attendance register

Candidates who fail in presenting any of the documents mentioned above or who fail in complying with the instructions, will be barred from the examination.
