IIM Ahmedabad final placement 2016 cluster-wise report

IIM Ahmedabadcommenced the final placement process on February 13, 2016 for the PGP batch of 2016. As a part of the placement process, IIM-A plays host to companies – companies that offer similar profiles are grouped into cohorts. Once the cohorts are formed, they are invited to the institute’s campus in different clusters. This year, the placement was proposed to be completed in 4 clusters, but the same was successfully completed within 3 clusters.

Cluster 3

Cluster 3 was conducted on February 19, 2016. The cluster consisted of cohorts like Banking, Advisory & Auditory Consulting, Internet & E-commerce, Financial Services & Insurance, Infrastructure, Core Manufacturing, and Technology. 

The placement drive saw offers from companies like PwC, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, and Sulekha to name a few.

Cluster 2

Cluster 2 was conducted on February 16, 2016, and consisted of five cohorts namely General Management, Consumer Goods and Services, Pharmaceuticals, Technology, and Niche Consulting.

 

Some of the regular partners included Airtel, ITC, Aditya Birla Group, Tata Administrative Services, Arete Advisors, and Nestlé to name just a few.

The first cluster was conducted on February 13, 2016. The firms offered roles across domains and functions. Firms that were a part of the first cluster comprised of three cohorts- venture capital and hedge funds, investment banking and markets, and management consulting and private equity.

This cluster consisted of regular partners like Bain & Co., Accenture Strategy, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Oliver Wyman, Deutsche Bank, A. T. Kearney, and The Boston Consulting Group, just to name a few. The highest number of offers (18 offers) were made by the consulting firm, Accenture Strategy – these offers were inclusive of the pre-placement offers.
