IIM-Bangalore gets a new director

The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B), is all set to get a new chief. Devanath Tirupati, Dean-Academic, IIM-B, will take over the mantle from Pankaj Chandra.

Chandra, serving as IIM-B director since December 2007, stepped down on Tuesday after his extended term came to a close.

Tirupati will take charge till further intimation from the chairman and board of governors of the IIM-B, informed a statement. Tirupati has a BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras; PGDM from IIM Calcutta, and a PhD from the Sloan School of Management, MIT.
