IIM Indore announces admissions details for PGP batch 2016-18
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has announced the admission details for their two-year Post Graduate Programme, batch 2016 – 18.
According to the information published on the official website, IIM Indore will adopt a three-stage selection process
Stage 1: Eligibility criteria
Stage 2: Shortlist for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)
Stage 3: Final Selection
All candidates seeking admission to IIM Indore has to appear for CAT 2015 exam, which is is scheduled to be held on November 29, 2015.
For the first round of shortlisting – WAT & PI – the following criteria will be used:

Here’s a detailed look at the entire selection process:
Stage-1: Eligibility Criteria
All candidates appearing for CAT 2015 exam and fulfilling the minimum sectional percentile and overall percentile scores will be considered for the second stage of admission.

Stage 2: Shortlist for WAT and PI
Candidates satisfying the shortlist criteria requirements in Stage 1 will now be considered for WAT and PI rounds. According to the institute’s website, sufficient number of candidates will be shortlisted for WAT and PI from each category (General, NC-OBC, SC, ST and DA) based on on Composite Score (CS)
Computation of Composite Score
Shortlisted candidates will be informed in January 2016. As per information, the WAT PI rounds will be conducted in the following cities:
- Bangalore
- Chennai
- Hyderabad
- Indore
- Kolkata
- Mumbai
- New Delhi
“However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the centres at any time if the situation so warrants,” informed the notice.
It further stated, “IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of selection process i.e. Stage-3.”
Stage-3: Final Selection
Candidates fulfilling criteria in Stage 2 will now be considered for the final stage of selection. The Final Composite Score (CS) will be based as follows:
Changes
While comparing to last year, we can see that the minimum eligibility criteria of sectional percentiles has gone down by 5 percentile for General/OBC NC category. However, minimum eligibility criteria of sectional percentiles has gone up by 5 percentile for SC/ST/DA categories.
The weightage for SSC and 12th scores in the shortlisting stage has been increased by 1 and 5 marks respectively.
The weightage for CAT score in the shortlisting stage has been reduced by 6 marks.
