IIM Kashipur releases shortlisting criteria for PGP batch 2016-18

IIM Kashipur

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has announced the admission policy for Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), academic year 2016-18. The admission process will consist of three stages:

  1. Shortlisting based on minimum CAT 2015 scores
  2. Generating merit list based on WAT, PI and candidate profile
  3. Final selection of candidates

 

 

Stage 1

In the first stage, IIM Kashipur will shortlist candidates for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) using the following CAT 2015 scores:

Candidates securing the above minimum percentile in CAT 2015 (as show in the table above) will be considered for calculation of their composite score in Stage 2.

In the next stage, a merit list for WAT and PI will created on the basis of the following:

Academic Discipline for PGP Programme (PGP)

Arts/Humanities: Archaeology, Education, Fine Arts (Dance, Music, Painting), Geography, History, Journalism, Languages, Library Science, Literature, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Social Work/Welfare, Sociology, etc.

Commerce/Economics: Accountancy, Auditing, Banking, Business Mathematics, Business Organization, Economics, Economic Development and Planning, Public Administration, Public Finance, Secretarial Practices etc.

Company Secretaryship

Education (including Physical Education and Sports)

Stage 3

In the final stage, the institute will select candidates based on the following:

Grand Total (C) = WAT &PI Total (2a) + Shortlist Total (2b)

The Grand Total (C) will be used to rank students according to their merit.

 

 

IIM Kashipur will also be conducting the common admission process for the six new IIMs.
