IIM Trichy summer placements

IIM Trichy completed the summer placements for the PGP batch of 2015-17. Total batch size was 107, out of which 102 students registered for summer placements. The total number of offers made was 102. Total number of companies that participated in the placements was 51. 

Rs 2.4 lakh for a two-month internship has been offered, which reports a 71% increase in highest stipend. The highest domestic stipend that has been offered is Rs 1.6 lakh, and the average stipend is reported to be Rs 51,000 – this is an increase of 13.3% as compared to last year.

Students have been offered roles in domains like strategy, Sales & Marketing, BFSI, Consulting & Analytics, Operations, HR, and IT/ ITeS. Also, students were offered internship opportunities in Europe and Middle East.

Some of the past recruiters that participated again this year were Dabur, Mahindra, Deloitte, St. Gobain, ICICI Bank, World Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Robert Bosch, to name but a few. Among the first-time recruiters were names like Kelloggs, Yes Bank, Bajaj Allianz, Shoppers Stop, Trident, Sea Fund.

Talking about sector wise split of placements, BSFI was 29%, Consulting & Analytics was 16%, E-Commerce was 13%, followed by Media & Consumer Durables, Manufacturing and FMCG & Consulting Durables.
