IIM Udaipur has announced the admission criteria for its PGP Batch (2016-18). According to the official notice, the admission process of IIM Udaipur will consist of:

  1. CAT Exam scores
  2. Short listing candidates for Personal Appearance (PA) process.
  3. Conducting the PA process – Written Analysis (WA) and Personal Interview (PI). A common PA process will be conducted for the six new IIMs – Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Tiruchirapalli and Udaipur. The CAP will be conducted by IIM Kashipur.

 

When compared to last year, the weightage of CAT score has been increased in final selection process from 50% to 55%. The weightage for WAT has been reduced from 10% to 6%, while that of PI is down to 15% from 20%. Gender and academic diversity is up to 5% from 3%.

“IIM Udaipur Admission Committee will decide the number of candidates who would be called for PA process on the basis of criteria prepared for each category. However, if the actual number of short-listed candidates were found to be less (more) than the required number of candidates to be called for WA & PI category-wise, then the overall as well as section-wise minimum score would be reduced (increased) to get the desired number of candidates,” informed the official website. 

“In case any of the older IIMs (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, and Lucknow) are willing to share their WA & PI score with the six new IIMs, the common candidates who have applied to new IIMs, need not to appear for WA & PI process separately, else they have to appear. The common candidates will be intimated the names of older IIMs sharing WA & PI scores with new IIMs,” further informed IIM Udaipur.
