IIM Visakhapatnam announces phase-2 of admission to 2016-2018 batch

IIM-Visakhapatnam has announced the second phase of admissions to 2016-2018 batch. The shortlisted candidates will now be invited for Personal Interview & Written Ability Test to be conducted under the mentorship of IIM Bangalore.

The list of shortlisted candidates is now out and can be accessed on the official website.

The first phase was covered in April this year. The phase-2 shortlist consists of aspirants who had reconfirmed their participation in the first phase. The ones who missed out, are not allowed to appear for PI and WAT.

CAT 2016: IIM Bangalore to conduct the exam this year

The academic session at IIM Visakhapatnam is set to start for the 3rd week of July 2016. Fee for PGP 2016-18 as announced by IIM Visakhapatnam is Rs 10.5 lakhs. The candidates are supposed to pay an initial acceptance fee of Rs 50,000 at the time of admission.

If a candidate was shortlisted for PI/WAT by IIM Bangalore, his/her PI/WAT score of IIM Bangalore will be considered by IIM Visakhapatnam.  For others, the average of their PI/WAT scores (from IIMs Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow) will be considered.

Candidates not shortlisted / interviewed by IM Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode and Lucknow will be required to appear for the PI/WAT conducted by IIM Visakhapatnam.

IIM Visakhapatnam started operating in 2015 under IIM Bangalore’s mentorship. In 2015-2017 batch, summer placement was nearly 100% with 48 out of 49 students getting hired by various companies. That one sole pass-out opted out of placement process to launch a startup.
